About Us
The Cumberland County Animal Services Office enforces all state and local laws
pertaining to the ownership, regulation and control of dogs, cats, and other
animals within the County. The department is responsible for picking up stray
animals, livestock, exotic animals as well as nuisance wildlife and rabid
animals. Animal Services officers respond to calls all over the County, check for
compliance with rabies vaccination laws, as well as dog and cat license
mandates. The Department also investigates all animal bites as mandated by
North Carolina law.
During normal duty hours, please call: 910-321-6852. However, to ONLY report animal bites or injured animals after normal duty hours, then please call 323-1500.
