Information for persons experiencing homelessness or at-risk of becoming homeless (e.g. facing eviction)
Most federally funded housing providers in the community are required to use a coordinated entry system to ensure that persons experiencing homelessness and who have the greatest needs, receive priority in accessing housing options offered by the providers. The coordinated system is currently being operated by the Cumberland HealthNet. Please contact (910) 479-4663 to speak with a case worker. An assessment will be completed by a case worker and the applicant’s referral will be submitted to the appropriate housing provider(s). Once a housing unit or financial assistance for housing becomes available, the housing provider will contact the applicant to complete the admission and placement process.
