FAYETTEVILLE – The Cumberland County Tax Administration Office reminds citizens that they can prepay their 2018 property taxes for real estate and personal property prior to Jan. 1, 2018. Taxes can be prepaid only in person at the tax administration office or by U.S. mail.

All mail must be postmarked Dec. 31, 2017. To pay in person, go to Room 527 on the fifth floor of the Courthouse, 117 Dick St., from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Payments made in person must be made on today or Dec. 29. As a reminder, taxes cannot be prepaid online; only by mail or in person at the tax office.

County Government offices and the Courthouse will be closed Monday, Jan. 1, for New Year’s Day. Tax Administration reminds citizens of the holiday closings and to plan appropriately. The last week of the year is extremely busy for the office.
