Real Estate Property Tax Appeals Deadline June 29

Cumberland County Tax Administration is accepting appeal requests for the 2018 tax year through June 29 from taxpayers who own or control taxable real property. The tax appeal request seeks a hearing before the Board of Equalization and Review.


The Board of Equalization and Review will hold hearings at 3:30 p.m. in Room 564, on the 5th floor of the Judge E. Maurice Braswell Cumberland County Courthouse, located at 117 Dick St., on June 13, June 20, June 27 and June 29.


Property owners who wish to file an appeal must complete, sign and return the 2018 Notice of Appeal of Assessment. The form is available on Tax Administration’s webpage at by clicking on the Forms and Publications tab. Property owners are encouraged to include any supporting documentation that will assist the Board of Equalization and Review in reviewing the appeal.
