NC Works Hosts Aviation Careers Day Feb. 17

Cumberland County Workforce Development will host an aviation careers day Feb. 17 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Cape Fear Aviation, 7154 Butler Nursery Rd., Fayetteville. Anyone interested in attending must register with the Cumberland County NC Works Career Center.

Attendees will learn about airplane mechanic and pilot careers. The NC Works Career Center is holding the event in partnership with Fayetteville Technical Community College and Cape Fear Aviation with a goal of creating a career pathway for young adults and transitioning military members. Airline pilots and airplane mechanic jobs are expected to be in high demand in the coming years.

“We are excited to partner with Fayetteville Technical Community College and Cape Fear Aviation to develop a career pathway for young adults and transitioning young adults,” said Workforce Development Director Nedra Clayborne Rodriguez.
