About the Department
The Cumberland County Engineering and Infrastructure Department provides services to County departments including planning, design, cost estimations and construction administration for facility renovations and new projects. In addition, Engineering is responsible for procurement of architectural/engineering services, management of capital improvement projects and special assessment water & sewer projects.
The Cumberland County Carpentry Shop provides carpentry related services to all County departments.

The Facilities Maintenance Division of the Engineering and Infrastructure Department provides managerial and supervisory work in planning, organizing, directing, coordinating and
evaluating the services and activities related to air conditioning, heating, plumbing, electrical and refrigeration. It is also responsible for ensuring appropriate preventive maintenance
and upkeep for all County buildings.

Public Utilities Division
The Public Utilities Division of the Engineering and Infrastructure Department provides the planning, development and
implementation of programs to expand and extend water and/or sanitary sewer services into the unincorporated areas of
the County, primarily through the organization and administration of water and sewer districts established by the Board of

Landscaping and Grounds Division
The Landscaping & Grounds Division is responsible for the upkeep of County-owned trees, shrubs, flowers and turf. It plans and
implements landscaping at new County facilities as well as repairs and restores landscaping at the older facilities.
