Cooperative Extension to Hold Pruning, Pickling Workshops

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Cumberland County Cooperative Extension will host the Better Living Series “Pruning and Caring for Blackberry and Raspberry Vines” workshop July 12 from 10 - 11:30 a.m. The location for the workshop will be provided prior to the date of the workshop.

Attendees will need to provide their own transportation.

Next year’s blackberry and raspberry crops depend on what you do for them this year. Learn the proper techniques for pruning and caring for these delicious additions to your home garden. Registration and $5 fee are due by July 6.

The Better Living Series “Quick Pickles” workshop will be held July 19 from 10 - 11:30 a.m. in the Cooperative Extension Demo Kitchen, 301 East Mountain Drive, Fayetteville. Learn how to make quick fresh-pack dill pickles in this workshop.

Each attendee will take home a jar of tasty pickles. Registration and $20 fee are due by July 15.
