The Classification and Compensation section can help managers with position
classification issues, such as establishing new positions, reallocating existing
positions, determining exempt/non-exempt classification status, compensation plan,
and position and organizational design. We can also help you with temporary
positions, trainee progressions, and with questions about secondary employment.
We manage the county's compliance with the
Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)
provisions related to pay, overtime and hours worked. We can help employees
who have questions on these topics.
