 ldquo\;Vax Your Pet\, Vax Yourself&rdquo\; event Saturday\, March 26\, fro
 m 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Health Department\, 1235 Ramsey Street\, Fayett
 eville. Mask will be required while inside the building.\nRabies vaccinati
 ons will cost $5 per pet. Combination shots for your pet and COVID-19 vacc
 inations will be free.\nOrganizations will distribute free items and infor
 mation about programs and services they provide at this event. Some partic
 ipating organizations include The Cumberland County Public Library\, Depar
 tment of Social Services\, Healthnet\, Stedman Wade\, Positive Parenting P
 rogram (Triple P)\, the public health education team and tobacco cessation
  education program.\nParticipants who visit at least seven tables will be 
 entered to win a $100 pre-paid gift card. Two participants will win and no
 tified they won on Monday\, March 28.\nAnyone receiving their first or sec
 ond COVID-19 Vaccination will receive a $25 gift card and $50 gift card fo
 r those receiving a COVID-19 booster shot. All gift cards are provided thr
 ough Cumberland HealthNET&rsquo\;s Sandhills Vax Program.\nThis event is s
 ponsored in part by funding from the Cornelia "Neill" Bullock Wilkins Char
 itable Endowment Fund for Health of the Cumberland Community Foundation\, 
 Inc.\nVax Your Pet!\n&nbsp\;Free combo vaccines for dogs and cats are prov
 ided by Petco Love Foundation and will be administered by the Cumberland C
 ounty Animal Services team.\n$5 Rabies Vaccinations:&nbsp\;North Carolina 
 Law states &ldquo\;the owner of every dog and cat over four months of age 
 shall have the animal vaccinated against rabies.&rdquo\; To remain properl
 y immunized\, a dog or cat must receive two rabies vaccinations one year a
 part\, then one vaccination every three years thereafter. Dog and cat owne
 rs in Cumberland County who have not vaccinated their pet in accordance wi
 th this law are subject to a civil penalty in the amount of $100.\nWhile a
 t the clinic\, please keep dogs leashed and cats in separate carriers or b
 oxes or leave them in a car with the windows down or the air conditioner s
 witched on. Owners may be held responsible for any damage their pet causes
  at the clinic.\nCash is the only accepted method of payment. Please bring
  exact change to pay the $5 per animal fee. Please do not bring rolled coi
 ns. Checks will not be accepted. No credit cards.\nVax Yourself!\nFlu and 
 School Vaccinations:&nbsp\;Vaccinations clinic will have full services exc
 ept for Tuberculosis Skin Tests (PPD) readings and placements.\nFlu shots

 plete a short registration form when they arrive to the clinic. If insured

  be billed. Participants will not receive a bill for flu vaccines.\nChildr
 en 18 and younger can receive a free flu vaccine through the Vaccines for 
 Children program. Anyone accompanying a minor must show proof of custody.\

 atus. The Department of Public Health administers Pfizer and Moderna COVID
 -19 vaccinations. J and J vaccinations are by request only. Anyone age 5 a
