FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The Cumberland County American Rescue Plan Committee announced during the March 14 special meeting that the application deadline for the Small Business Economic Assistance Program is March 31 at 5 p.m.
As of the meeting, 110 SBEAP applications have been submitted requesting more than $5.4 million in funding. The Board of Commissioners originally allocated $3.5 million for this program during the Jan. 18, 2022, regular meeting.
The ARP Committee also approved the Application Review Guidelines that outline the qualifications and considerations for applicants as well as the steps which will be followed by the ARP staff committee to review and make recommendations for awards.
The County also received 54 proposals, totaling more than $22.7 million, from non-profit organizations as part of the competitive Request for Proposals process for funding to support programs that help the county recover from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. A review of the proposals is taking place. The Commissioners have allocated $3.5 million in funding for non-profit organizations.
