Whatever Your Reason, Mask Up

Sep 09, 2020

The Department of Public Health reports 137 new COVID-19 cases and six additional deaths since the Friday, Sept. 4, report. Cumberland County's case count is now 4,519 with 76 deaths.

As North Carolina eases restrictions it is vital that we all continue practicing our 3 Ws; Wear your mask, wait six feet apart and wash your hands.

A new statewide public campaign, “Whatever Your Reason,” was recently launched to highlight the collective fight we must take against COVID-19.

“I wear my mask to protect my family and my community,” says Health Director Dr. Jennifer Green. “I wear my mask so that I can continue working to stop the spread of this virus. I’m asking every member of this community to take personal responsibility to combat this virus.”

Community members can share their personal reasons for wearing a mask on the Cumberland County Facebook page. Get in on the social conversation and Whatever Your Reason, help get the word out.
