Media Advisory
The media is invited to two (2) functions that the Sheriff's Office is involved with on Tuesday, August 8th. The events, both at separate times, are described as follows:
- The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office School Task Force will hold a kick-off meeting for the 2000-2001 School Year at 9 a.m. in the Law Enforcement Center Assembly Room. Members of the Task Force will be present to give the media an overview and purpose of the Task Force and review last year's statistics. The meeting is open to the media from 9 to 9:30 a.m. only.
- The Fayetteville Kennel Club will present three armor vests for the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office K-9 Unit at their cookout in Mazerick Park, beginning at 6 p.m. The event will be held in the park located off Bragg Boulevard, behind IHOP.
The club has invited several honored guests, as well as those "four-footed" officers. The public is welcomed and encouraged to attend. For more information on this event, contact Nancy Miller at (910) 425-7597.
