For Immediate Release August 4, 2000
Cumberland County's growing status as a cultural crossroads represents an increasing possibility that there are newcomers here who have not been vaccinated against rubella or german measles. This disease is often mild in nature, but can cause great harm to a pregnant woman's unborn child. The Cumberland County Health Department is hosting a series of outreach clinics during the month of august to provide this vaccine free to those who need it. Call 433-3800 for the location of an outreach clinic near you. For more information on the news release, you may contact Rhonda Brown, Cumberland County Health Dept. at (910) 433-3800. |
