Strickland Arrest
Cumberland County, NC; Investigators from the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office Juvenile Division arrested William James Strickland (45 YOA) of 5043 Voyager Drive in Fayetteville early this morning and charged him with four counts of 3rd degree sexual exploitation of a minor. He was taken before a magistrate and jailed in the Cumberland County Jail under a $1 million dollar secure bond. His first appearance will be Monday, October 2nd at 9 a.m. in Cumberland County courtroom 2B.
The Sheriff's Office received information on this case, which led to an early morning search warrant at his residence. During the search, evidence of sexually explicit material of minors was discovered. Some of the material discovered occurred at least 7 years ago. The investigation continues by the Sheriff's Office. Should additional charges be filed, they will be released through this office.
