An inquiry has been initiated by the Cumberland County Manger's Office into allegations of inappropriate conduct at Cumberland County Animal Control. The conduct of a number of officers is at issue and is currently being reviewed. Some of the alleged actions are unrelated. All involve allegations of improper personal conduct in the workplace. The County Manager's Office is working closely with the County Attorney's Office and Human Resources Office in evaluating the allegations and the results of the on-going inquiry. The inquiry is expected to be completed within the next few days. After the County Manager has reviewed its results, he will put into place a management plan of action to ensure that Cumberland County Animal Control is an efficient and productive operation benefiting county citizens and the local pet population. |
