Library Recognizes
Exceptional Employees
Cumberland County Public Library & Information Center (CCPL&IC) Director, Jerry Thrasher, awarded six staff members with an Exceptional Employee Award at Staff Development Day held at the Headquarters Library on Friday, December 14.
The award was presented to employees who demonstrated exceptional professionalism, loyalty and commitment to the operation of CCPL&IC.
To be considered for the award, employees must be nominated by their supervisor and have worked within the library system for a minimum of one year. The library director evaluated the nominees in five categories: quality of work, quantity of work, customer service (public and staff), initiative and application of time, and other awards and/or recognition received during the year. 
Of those nominated system wide, six CCPL&IC employees were selected who displayed qualities that were considered exceptional and should be modeled by the entire staff. They are: Anna Ray, IS Librarian II, East Regional Branch Library; Lisa O’Connor, Library Associate II, Law Library; Alan Broadwell, Children’s Library Associate II, North Regional Branch Library; Donnette Hall, Administrative Support I–Personnel, CCPL⁣ Lorleila Bartlett, Library Technician, Cliffdale Regional Branch Library; and Bob Rochelle, Assistant Operations Manager, CCPL&IC.
