Local Author to Speak
at the Headquarters Library

Fred Whitted, author of Arcadian Press’ Black America Series: Fayetteville, North Carolina, is scheduled to speak at the Cumberland County Public Library & Information Center’s (CCPL&IC) Headquarters Library Pate Room on Wednesday, January 31 at 7:00 pm.

Whitted, a native of Fayetteville, will discuss the book which includes biographies of major black figures in the history of Fayetteville. Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing after the program, which is sponsored by the Friends of CCPL&IC, Inc.

This program will kick off Black History Month events to be held throughout the CCPL&IC system during the month of February.
