Veterans' Services Office Relocates

The Cumberland County Veterans' Services Office is getting a new home. The office, currently located in the basement of the Old County Courthouse on Gillespie Street, is relocating to the ground level of the new Department of Social Services Building on Ramsey Street.

The office will be closed the week of June 12th for the move. Veterans' Services will re-open at its new location on Monday, June 18th. Regular operating hours will continue to be Monday - Thursday 9 AM to 3 PM, with the exception of being closed for lunch from 12 to 1. The office is not open on Fridays.

Veterans' Services assist Cumberland County veterans, their dependents and survivors with preparation and filing of medical disability, death benefits, as well as other claims with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Anyone needing immediate assistance with VA claims while the office is closed, should contact the VA Regional Office by calling 1-800-827-1000. In addition, they can contact the North Carolina Division of Veterans' Affairs at (910) 486-1551 or visit its office located in the Executive Building, Suite 101, directly behind the Post Office on Green Street.
