Library Recognizes
Exceptional Employees
Cumberland County Public Library & Information Center (CCPL&IC) Director, Jerry Thrasher, awarded 11 staff members with an Exceptional Employee Award at Staff Training Day held at the Headquarters Library on Friday, May 18.
The award was presented to employees who demonstrated exceptional professionalism, loyalty and commitment to the operation of CCPL&IC.
To have been considered for the award, the employee had to have been nominated by a coworker or supervisor. Employees who received the award in December 2000 were not eligible. A committee of CCPL&IC staff members evaluated the nominees in five categories: quality of work, quantity of work, customer service (public and staff), initiative and application of time, and other.
Of those nominated system wide, 11 CCPL&IC employees were selected who displayed qualities that were considered exceptional and should be modeled by the entire staff. They are: Jeff Benenhaley, Diane Bracanovich, Shawn Friend–Begin, Tamela Holt, Angela Light, Jamesena Monroe, Inés Page, Lorinda Raynor, Cindy Ritter, Sharon Tilley, and Garetha Waddell.
