Library Recognizes
Volunteers

Several locations of the Cumberland County Public Library & Information Center (CCPL&IC) system recently recognized volunteers for their exceptional service over the past year.

The following individuals were presented a certificate of appreciation and special gift for their service at the Headquarters Library: Pamela Boose for 1,564 hours of service to the library; Christopher Banks for 540 hours of service; Adam Jackson for 10 hours of service; and Linda Jackson for 282 hours of service from July 2000 to the present towards keeping the library’s discard book sale room in order.

The Spring Lake Branch Library recognized Grace Roman and Teofile Maldonado for their volunteer service.

CCPL&IC has a number of volunteers at each location and greatly appreciates the time and effort they donate to help improve the quality of service provided to the customers of the CCPL&IC system.

During budget cuts and staff shortages, volunteers will be needed to assist with shelving materials and shelf maintenance, as well a number of other varied responsibilities. Anyone 16 years or older that is interested in becoming a library volunteer can pick up an application at any CCPL&IC location.
