Master Gardener Spring Plant Sale April 20 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Join the Cumberland County Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners for the annual Plant Sale on Saturday, April 20., beginning at 9 a.m. at the Cooperative Extension Center, located at 301 East Mountain Drive, Fayetteville. The sale will end at 1 p.m.

Plants for sale will include vegetables, herbs, house plants and plants grown locally by Extension Master Gardeners as well as harvested seed packs. Extension Master Gardeners will also be on hand to answer gardening questions.

The Extension Master Gardeners will host horticulture experts from the Fayetteville Rose Society, Fayetteville Camellia Club, Sandhills Orchid Society and the Sandhills Daylily Club.

There will be educational displays on attracting pollinators, composting, growing your own vegetables and container gardening. There will be information about how to become an Extension Master Gardener

Volunteer, Cumberland County Extension Consumer Horticulture Programs and 4-H.

Cash, checks and major credit cards will be accepted. The event will be indoors — rain or shine. A special thanks to the businesses and friends of the Cumberland County Extension Master Gardener Volunteer Association who donated items for the raffle.

All proceeds from the event support Horticulture Scholarships, Cape Fear Botanical Garden, Extension Master Gardener Demonstration Garden, Extension Master Gardener education programs, Warrior Transition Tranquility Garden and the Second Harvest Food Bank Garden.
