The Cumberland County Emergency Management facilitates the process of emergency preparedness and planning for the community, working with departments, support agencies, municipalities, the military, businesses and industry as well as citizens to identify specific responsibilities before, during and after major emergencies. This is accomplished by identifying the community's hazards, identifying resources and capabilities, conducting preparedness briefs and by developing and exercising emergency operations plans.
