- Stay Cool
Avoid prolonged exposure to direct heat. Spend time in air-conditioned spaces whenever possible, whether at home, a library, shopping center, or community facility. If staying home, keep blinds closed and wear lightweight, loose-fitting, light-colored clothing.
- Stay Hydrated
Drink water throughout the day and consider supplementing with electrolyte or sports drinks. Limit caffeine and alcohol intake during extreme heat.
- Look After Each Other
Check in on friends, neighbors, and family members, especially older adults, children, and those without reliable air conditioning.
