• Please do not submit requests for background checks, marriage, divorce or property records.
• For requests involving the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, please email pio@ccsonc.org.

911 Records: Guidance Based on NC § 132-1 and § 132-1.4

• 911 audio is retained for a period of 90 days.
• CAD (Computer Aided Dispatch) 911 records are kept indefinitely.
• Cumberland County does not offer transcripts of 911 call audio.
• Information that identifies the caller, a victim, or a witness will be redacted from the records.
• PHI (Protected Health Information) will not be disclosed under any circumstances.
• Information from DCI/NCIC will be redacted as mandated by SBI/FBI compliance standards.
