The purpose of WORTH (We Overcome Recidivism Through Healing) Court is to assist victims of human trafficking, increase community awareness of human trafficking and provide education to the community and service providers on best practices for providing service for victims.
WORTH Court addresses increased human trafficking rate in Cumberland County, in which some victims are charged with crimes associated with their inability to escape their abuser. The program aims to help victims break away from circumstances that kept them in slavery or sexual servitude.
