FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Cumberland County Cooperative Extension announces May 2024 Better Living Series workshops. All workshops will be held in the Cooperative Extension Auditorium located at 301 E. Mountain Dr., Fayetteville.
The workshop Water Bath Canning will be held May 8 from 12 – 2 p.m. Learn how to preserve tomatoes and other high-acid foods with this hands-on workshop. Participants will learn to easily and safely can food using the water bath canning method. Registration and the $12 fee are due by May 3. Home Muscadine Production and Care workshops will be held May 15 from 12 – 1:30 p.m. and again from 6:30 – 8 p.m. Muscadine grapes are a sweet, southern delicacy that be grown in your home garden. Learn how to plant, trellis and produce muscadines in large or small spaces. Participants will receive a muscadine to plant at home.
The $15 and registration fee are due by May 10. Eventbrite is the preferred method of registration.
