FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Cumberland County Public Library will host a special children’s program, “Community Helpers and their Vehicles”, at East Regional Library Thursday, Oct. 9, 2025, at 10 a.m. at 4809 Clinton Road in Fayetteville.
-
WHEN: Oct. 9 at 10 a.m.
-
WHERE: East Regional Library, 4809 Clinton Road, Fayetteville
-
WHO: Media and community members are encouraged to attend
This interactive event celebrates the everyday heroes who keep the community connected, safe and thriving. Families are invited to join East Regional Library and its staff members as they welcome a variety of local organizations, including construction crews, farmers, first responders, military personnel, utility providers and more for a morning of discovery and inspiration.
The program will begin with a lively story time, introducing children to the many responsibilities and roles of community helpers. Following the reading, children will have the exciting opportunity to meet real-life helpers and explore the tools and vehicles they use every day — from fire trucks and police cruisers to mail trucks, paving trucks and tractors.
“We’re proud to host an event that connects children with the people who make our community work,” said Youth Services Librarian Heather Wrench. “It’s a chance for kids to ask questions, learn and see these important roles come to life.”
This event is free and open to the public. For additional information, please contact the East Regional Library at 910-483-7727, ext. 1403 or email hwrench@cumberlandcountync.gov.
