Cumberland County Emergency Services and other local first responder agencies invite the public to attend the 23rd annual Cumberland County Emergency Services Memorial Ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 14 at 11 a.m.
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Cumberland County Emergency Services and other local first responder agencies invite the public to attend the 23rd annual Cumberland County Emergency Services Memorial Ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 14 at 11 a.m. The ceremony will take place at the FTCC-Cumberland County Regional Fire and Rescue Training Center located at the corner of Tom Starling Road and Corporation Drive in Fayetteville.
The memorial service honors firefighters and Emergency Services workers who have sacrificed their lives serving the citizens of Cumberland County and Fort Liberty. The ceremony will include a wreath-laying, roll call of fallen emergency services personnel, a last alarm, traditional firefighter 5-5-5 bell ringing and the playing of Taps.
The guest speaker for the 2023 memorial ceremony is Deputy Chief Derrick Clouston, President of the North Carolina Association of Fire Chiefs.
The Emergency Services Memorial has been relocated from the main campus at Fayetteville Technical Community College to the Fire and Rescue Training Center campus.
