FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Cumberland County government offices and the court system will close Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2025, in observance of the Veterans Day holiday. Closures include all Solid Waste landfills and container sites, Animal Services and all eight library locations.

Solid Waste

• Landfills and container sites will reopen Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2025, for regular operating hours.
• For landfill and container site hours of operation, visit cumberlandcountync.gov/solidwaste.

Animal Services

• Animals Services will reopen Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2025, for regular operating hours.
• To report an after-hours animal emergency, please call Cumberland County Emergency Services at 910-323-1141 or 911.

Libraries

• All library locations will close at 6 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 10, 2025, and will reopen Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2025, for regular operating hours.
