FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Cumberland County Emergency Management will host its first-ever Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) Conference, titled “STEP Into Preparedness,” on Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2025, at 9 a.m. at Methodist University, located at 5400 Ramsey St. in Fayetteville.
This inaugural event will bring together industry, local, and state partners to enhance community preparedness, share best practices and strengthen collaboration. Attendees will participate in discussions and presentations focused on community safety, emergency coordination across jurisdictions and hazardous materials planning.
The LEPC Conference reflects Cumberland County’s ongoing commitment to protecting residents, supporting first responders and safeguarding the critical infrastructure that keeps the community resilient and strong.
