FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The Cumberland County Department of Social Services will host a job fair Thursday, April 27, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the first-floor conference rooms of the DSS building, located at 1225 Ramsey St., Fayetteville. The Children’s Services and Economic Services divisions are seeking qualified applicants to fill vacant positions for jobs that will make a difference in the lives of children and families.
The Children’s Services Division is seeking qualified applicants for the following areas: Foster Care, Foster Care Teen, Investigative Assessments, Family Assessments, and Treatment/In-Home units.
The Economic Services Division is seeking qualified applicants for the following areas: Energy, Food and Nutrition, Medicaid, Child Care, Clerical and Call Center.
Children's Services Division priority positions are Social Workers. These positions require at a minimum a degree in Social Work (bachelor’s and/or master’s degrees); OR a Human Services and/or bachelor’s or master’s degree with directly related year(s) of experience from an accredited college or university.
Economic Services priority positions are caseworkers. Preferred qualifications for caseworker positions are graduation from a four-year accredited college or university and one year of Income Maintenance Caseworker experience OR one year of Income Maintenance Caseworker experience. The minimum is graduation from high school and three years of paraprofessional, clerical, or other public contact experience.
