Immunization Assessments

Childhood Immunizations

  • Walk-ins are available for back-to-school immunizations. Call (910) 321-7116 to make an appointment. All children in North Carolina must be vaccinated against certain diseases.
  • Find out what vaccines children must have before entering school - https://immunize.nc.gov/schools/schools.htm
  • In typical years, proof of required immunizations and health assessments are required within 30 days of the first date of attendance of school. After 30 days, children are to be excluded from school until the family provides documentation of requirements.
  • Parents/guardians are strongly encouraged to walk-in for required immunizations prior to the start of each school year. Wait times for immunizations increase as the deadline for back-to-school immunizations approaches.
  • Learn more about the extension for the current school year - https://immunize.nc.gov/schools/
  • Some exemptions to state immunization law are allowed. Learn about exemptions here - https://immunize.nc.gov/schools/schools.htm
  • **If you are younger than 18 and do not have health insurance, you will receive immunizations at no cost through the Vaccines for Children Program. If you are older than 18, you will be billed for the cost of the vaccine only (No administrative fees will apply).
  • Walk-ins for a Tuberculosis Skin Test (PPD) or vaccinations for children NOT returning to school are also available.
  • You will need your insurance information when you arrive for your visit.

    • You will be asked a series of questions about your symptoms, travel history and whether you have had contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19. You will have your temperature taken.
