FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The Cumberland County Board of Elections will hold Voter ID clinics at various locations throughout the county beginning in January 2024 to help citizens who need to obtain a free Voter ID in order to vote in North Carolina and provide assistance with voter registration and other information.
The Voter ID Clinics will be at held at the following locations and times:
Jan. 10, 2024 1 – 4 p.m. Bill Crisp Senior Center, 7560 Raeford Rd., Fayetteville
Jan. 17, 2024 3 – 6 p.m. Arthur D. Smith Recreation Center, 1520 Slater Ave., Fayetteville
Jan. 20, 2024 9 – 11 a.m. Kiwanis Recreation Center, 352 Devers St., Fayetteville
Jan. 24, 2024 9:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. Spring Lake Senior Center, 301 Ruth St., Spring Lake
Jan. 31, 2024 3 – 6 p.m. E.E. Miller Recreation Center, 1347 Rim Rd., Fayetteville
Feb. 3, 2024 9 – 11 a.m. Cliffdale Recreation Center, 6404 Cliffdale Rd., Fayetteville
The Board of Elections will announce more dates for Voter ID clinics at a later time.
Voter ID Requirements
Starting in elections in 2023, all North Carolina voters are required to show photo identification in order to vote. Many forms of ID are already accepted in order to vote including:
- North Carolina driver’s license
- State ID from the NCDMV (also called non-operator ID)
- Driver’s license or non-driver’s license from another state, District of Columbia, or U.S. territory (only if voter registered in North Carolina within 90 days of the election)
- U.S. Passport or U.S. Passport card
- Voter ID card issued by a County Board of Elections
- College or university student ID approved by the State Board of Elections
- State or local government or charter school employee ID approved by the State Board of Elections
