FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Cumberland County Public Library will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Bordeaux Community Branch throughout January with Make It ’80s, a month-long series of programs made possible through sponsorship from the Friends of the Cumberland County Library.
The celebration begins Monday, Jan. 5, at 1:30 p.m. with a Back to the ’80s Party featuring themed music, activities and light refreshments. The event will include retro décor and hands-on stations, including retro tie-dye accessories, DIY patches and buttons, a bedazzling craft table and an ’80s-themed selfie station.

Additional programs throughout the month will include movie screenings, cooking demonstrations, crafts and family-friendly events celebrating the culture, style and nostalgia of the 1980s. All events are free and open to the public.
