FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Cumberland County Cooperative Extension is accepting nominations for candidates for the 2026 Cumberland County Agricultural Hall of Fame.
The Cumberland County Agricultural Hall of Fame honors county residents who have made significant contributions to agriculture, home economics, youth development or rural communities. Established in 1989, the Agricultural Hall of Fame is in the I. B. Julian Auditorium of Cumberland County Cooperative Extension, located in the Agriculture Center, 301 East Mountain Drive, Fayetteville.
Nomination forms are available by calling 910-321-6405, or online via the Cooperative Extension website at cumberland.ces.ncsu.edu. Completed nomination forms with supporting documentation, not to exceed five pages, must be received by June 30, 2026 at 5 p.m. Late submissions will not be considered. Nominations may be mailed to the Cumberland County Cooperative Extension, Agriculture Center, 301 East Mountain Drive, Fayetteville, NC 28306, faxed to 910-321-6883 or emailed to Cooperative Extension Director Lisa Childers at lisa_childers@ncsu.edu.
The nominating committee will review all nomination forms and select a nominee to be submitted to the Cumberland County Board of Commissioners for consideration and selection into the Agricultural Hall of Fame. The recipient will be honored in November 2026 during the annual Farm-City Week Celebration event.
