FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The annual Remember My Name Domestic Violence Vigil will be held Wednesday, Oct. 8, at 5:30 p.m. on the steps of the Judge E. Maurice Braswell Cumberland County Courthouse, located at 117 Dick St., Fayetteville. The vigil serves as a time of reflection and remembrance while raising awareness about the devastating impact of domestic violence in our community and across North Carolina.
Author and entrepreneur Michelle McKenney will deliver this year’s keynote address. Retired Chief District Court Judge Beth Keever will read aloud the names of individuals who lost their lives to domestic violence in North Carolina over the past year.
