Dozens of Animals Will Receive Thanksgiving Meal

The Friends of Cumberland County AnimalS (FOCCAS), a non-profit that supports pets and their owners in Cumberland County, has organized a Thanksgiving meal for the shelter animals on Nov. 18 at 11 a.m. Approximately 100 dogs and 50 cats will enjoy this animal-friendly meal. 

The event is not open to the general public.

If you would like to donate food items for the dinner, they can be dropped off at the shelter by Nov. 17 at 5:30 p.m. Items needed include:

  • Cooked boneless turkey breast or boneless chicken breast (no whole or frozen turkeys)
  • Canned tuna
  • Canned chicken
  • Plain canned pumpkin
  • Green beans
  • Sweet potatoes (plain)
  • Baby carrots
  • Bananas
  • Apples
  • Applesauce (unsweetened)
