The Homeless Advisory Committee was established in 2017 through an interlocal agreement between the Fayetteville City Council and Cumberland County. The committee provides policy guidance on issues affecting individuals experiencing homelessness and those at risk of becoming homeless. It also monitors and reviews data and trends from the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS), offers recommendations regarding homeless programs and services, evaluates additional data related to homelessness, and communicates relevant information to the respective governing boards and the broader community.
