Cumberland County Community Development Invites Public Review and Comment on 2024 Annual Action Plan Draft

Cumberland County Community Development is pleased to announce the commencement of the public review and comment period for the 2024 Annual Action Plan (AAP) Draft. Members of the public are encouraged to participate in this important process, offering their insights and feedback on the AAP Draft. The review period will extend through April 19, 2024.

The Annual Action Plan Program Year spans from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025. Copies of the draft plan are readily accessible and can be obtained online at cumberlandcountync.gov/community-development, or in person at the Community Development office located at 707 Executive Place in Fayetteville. Additionally, the draft plan can be acquired at various physical locations throughout the county. Requests for emailed copies are also accommodated upon inquiry.

The 2024 Annual Action Plan is a document outlining specific projects slated for implementation during the 2024 Program Year. Once finalized, the plan is submitted to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

An essential component of this process is the public hearing, scheduled for April 15, 2024, at 6:45 p.m. This hearing will be accessible for participation via live stream through various platforms including the Cumberland County website, YouTube, and CCNC-TV Spectrum Cable Channel 5.
