FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The following is a summary of the Cumberland County Board of Commissioners Regular Meeting held at 9 a.m. on June 1, 2026, in Room 118 of the Judge E. Chairman Kirk deViere called for a moment of silence to honor the life of former Commissioner Billy R. King, who passed away on May 28.
Commissioner Glenn Adams led the invocation and Pledge of Allegiance.
In addition to the 9 a.m. Regular Meeting and Public Hearing, the Board held a special Public Hearing for the proposed Fiscal Year 2027 (FY27) budget at 7 p.m.
