FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Cumberland County Public Library will host the second annual “Community Helpers and Their Vehicles” event. The event is free and open to the public.

Event Details

  • Date: Thursday, Oct. 1, 2026
  • Time: 10 – 11 a.m.
  • Location: East Regional Library, 4809 Clinton Road, Fayetteville, NC 28312

Participating community helpers include first responders, military personnel, farmers, utility providers, construction crews and others who play vital roles throughout the community.

The event will begin with a community helpers story time. Following the reading, children will have the opportunity to meet real-life community helpers, ask questions and explore vehicles, equipment and tools used in the helpers’ daily work.
