FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The Cumberland County Public Library is accepting applications for its annual Local Authors’ Showcase starting today.
The application period will run from May 23 through August 15. Applications will be approved on a first come, first served basis. Apply online at https://forms.gle/WPY6xfc57BmjzS8a9 or complete and return the physical application found at cumberland.lib.nc.libguides.com/ld.php?content_id=66728858.
This event, which has been put on hold since 2019, will be held September 17 from noon to 2:00 p.m. in the Headquarters Library Building at 300 Maiden Lane. Local authors will have the opportunity to network with other writers and writers’ groups as well as advertise and sell their publications.
The Headquarters Library is the home of the CCPL system’s Local Author Collection, a non-cataloged selection of books by local writers. Authors wishing to attend the showcase are encouraged to visit the collection and consider contributing their books.
