The annual Remember My Name Domestic Violence Vigil will be held Thursday, Oct. 1, at 5:30 p.m. on the steps of the Judge E. Maurice Braswell Cumberland County Courthouse.
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The annual Remember My Name Domestic Violence Vigil will be held Thursday, Oct. 1, at 5:30 p.m. on the steps of the Judge E. Maurice Braswell Cumberland County Courthouse, located at 117 Dick St., Fayetteville. The vigil serves as a time of reflection and remembrance while raising awareness about the devastating impact of domestic violence in our community and across North Carolina.
The guest speaker for the event is Thomas Battle, Director of Human Resources for Installation Management on Fort Bragg.
The South View High School Junior ROTC will post the colors. The U.S. Army 82nd Airborne Division All-American Chorus will also perform.
Retired Chief District Court Judge Beth Keever will read aloud the names of individuals who lost their lives to domestic violence in North Carolina over the past year.
