FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Updated public parking options are now available for those needing access to the Judge E. Maurice Braswell Cumberland County Courthouse.
The public parking lot formerly in front of the courthouse remains closed and is not currently in use.
Free courthouse parking options include:
- First Presbyterian Church parking lot, accessible via the 200 block of Person St.
-
Designated ADA accessible spaces are provided in the rear courthouse lot facing Cool Spring St., with close proximity to the rear entrance.
-
Gravel lots at 334 Person St. and 125 S. Kennedy St.
A detailed map and directions are available at cumberlandcountync.gov/courthouseparking.
To ensure courthouse staff and jurors have access to their designated parking areas, visitors should park only in the free public lots identified on a parking map, or in available paid parking options. Vehicles parked in restricted areas may be subject to towing at the owner’s expense.
Cumberland County continues to evaluate long-term parking strategies that align with community and budgetary priorities. These alternative options provide safe, accessible and cost-free solutions for courthouse visitors.
