FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The Cumberland County Board of Elections announces important dates for candidates filing for the Cumberland County Board of Education and the Cumberland County Soil & Water Conservation District Board of Supervisors.
Filing for the Soil & Water Conservation District Board of Supervisors begins Monday, June 8, 2026, at 12 p.m. and ends Monday, July 6, 2026, at 5 p.m. Two seats, each four-year terms, are available. The filing fee is $5.
Filing for the Cumberland County Board of Education begins Monday, July 6, 2026, at 8 a.m. and ends Friday, August 7, 2026, at 12 p.m. Three at‑large seats, each four-year terms, are available. The filing fee is $142.
The Cumberland County Board of Elections will be closed Friday, July 3, 2026, in observance of the Independence Day holiday.
