FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Cumberland County Public Library continues providing free technology access, personalized assistance and digital learning opportunities to residents after its mobile hotspot lending program concludes July 1, 2026.
The mobile hotspot lending program was made possible through federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding and allowed library customers to borrow portable Wi-Fi hotspots for up to three weeks at a time. As the grant-funded program comes to an end, the library will continue offering a wide range of technology resources and services designed to help community members stay connected.
“Helping residents access digital resources remains a core part of our mission,” said Cumberland County Public Library Director Heather Hall. “Our community can visit any library location and access free Wi-Fi, computers, technology classes, one-on-one assistance, learning resources and digital navigator services. Our team is ready to help connect people with the tools and support they need.”
